Film studios like Malayan Movies, Nolasco Films, Filippine Films, Sampaguita Pictures, LVN Pictures, Lebran and many others made films one after another, competing with each other, discovering new movie stars and directors. B efore the devastating World War II, Philippine film industry was a thriving industry.
